Colette Henry

International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship

Colette Henry is an academic manager with international teaching, programme development and research experience in Entrepreneurship Education, Gender, Creative Industries and Veterinary Business. Currently Head of Department of Business Studies at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) & Adjunct Professor, Department of Business Strategy & Innovation, at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia, my previous roles include: Head of School of Business & Humanities (DkIT); Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at UiT-The Arctic University of Norway; Norbrook Professor of Business & Enterprise (Royal Veterinary College, London), and President of the Institute for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (ISBE, London). She is founder and Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship. She has published on entrepreneurship education and training, gender and entrepreneurship, creative industries and veterinary business, and has written over 50 journal articles and written or co-edited 14 books. Colette currently leads the Global Women’s Entrepreneurship Policy Research Network (globalwep.org). In 2015 she received the Diana International Research Project Trailblazer Award for her work on gender and entrepreneurship, and in 2017 she received the Sten K Johnson European Entrepreneurship Education Award from Lund University, Sweden. Colette is a fellow of the Royal Society and the Higher Education Academy. In 2018, she was awarded a fellowship of the Academy of Social Sciences.
