Celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 with ATHENA
Join us in commemorating International Women’s Day on March 8th, a significant global tribute to women’s remarkable achievements in social, economic, cultural, and political spheres. This day not only celebrates women’s accomplishments but also ignites a collective commitment to furthering gender equality worldwide.
Since its inception over a century ago, International Women’s Day has grown into a momentous occasion, drawing over a million participants to its inaugural celebration in 1911. Today, it stands as a symbol of unity across diverse communities globally. In 2024, the United Nations highlighted the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress”, under the hashtag #InvestInWomen.
To mark this occasion, the ATHENA project partners are hosting a series of events dedicated to advancing gender equality.
