Webinar on “Synergies among R&I organisations and policy makers for gender equality”

On October 27th, 2023, the ATHENA webinar on “Synergies among R&I organisations and policymakers for gender equality” took place online and served as a facilitator for the exchange of experiences, best practices, challenges, and obstacles related to the promotion of Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) between policymakers and research organisations. National and regional policymakers shared their insights, emphasising the importance of integrating the gender dimension in Research & Innovation and of doing it from an intersectional approach.

There was a roundtable where the speakers had a chance to discuss their final thoughts regarding their experiences in promoting gender equality plans from the perspective of policymakers and research institutions. The webinar highlighted how GEPs are also a matter of increasing our institutions’ competitiveness and changing the existing model to empower and encourage women’s talent in R&I and beyond.
